i have a question not covered in manual

Post by Takle »

after some work, i finally have a military craft available to me.
but if i take this craft, it will dismiss my crew. I finally got my crew all to loyalty 100, and dont wish to lose them. How do i get the military fighter, and yet retain my current ship and crew?:o

No way. Sorry, you can't have any crew along with your military craft, no place for them in there.
Best regards

Yep, best way to keep crew is save to a different profile before trading your civillian ship for a military one....
So you have a profile for your Civillian role and one profile for your military combat role.....;)

Maarschalk is right: Having multiple profiles (or simply saving a single profile multiple times & then renaming them) & having different ships/equipment setups will behoove you greatly later in the game.

Example: i have a profile i renamed discovery with a leviathan, maxed out crew, & a full payload of probes. I then use this profile to explore & record useful info for use in my other profiles.

Military ships have pretty large fuel tanks but the lack of cargo & crew quarters makes them less suitable for a lot of civilian activites such as mining, trading, & exploring.

I wouldn't worry too much about your crew. You can have hire new members and get them back up to 100 loyalty in 10-15 minutes of play, assuming you hire crew members that have a decent starting loyalty (50-70). Grossly overpaying them and doing a lot of quick missions will increase their skill and loyalty in a hurry.

Possibly quick missions taken by someone else, each time you dock you risk someone of your crew leaving in the first runs.
Best regards
