Hi everyone.

Just like to say hi and introduce myself as a new kid on legends. Just got the demo and I'm learning the ropes.

I have browsed the forum and been very impressed with the community here. You seem to have a great family.

I am aware of the new game comming shortly but I'm still running through the Legends demo just to get an idea of what's what so the new game won't be so daunting.

This also has been helping me with some of the forum threads that now make sense to me.

Looking forward to meeting you all in Mercenary MP if I ever get to that standard.

Yeah, we're all a big, happy family here...and as the situation is with most families, mere inches away from trying to kill each other.

Just kidding. Welcome to the forums. There's a few differences between Legends and Mercenary, but you should be able to get the hang of the controls by playing Legends - the basic flight model has remained the same, merely the effects of mass and the speed limit have changed.

PPS: the hidden planet section helps a lot for noobs....

Most hidden planets (and other things) are beyond physical range of the demo.

Thank you everyone for all the welcomes and the info, it's much appreciated.

I'll make sure I use the demo to best effect.

I've read about Romulan in the forum and I'm just hoping he'll have his hands too full with others to notice the Red Baron.

Don't be put off if you receive a welcome from Romulan or the trigger happy BA clan!! The majority of us Evochron pilots can say hello without the excessive use of weapons!

"Excessive use of weapons"! Whats that supposed to mean? BA do not use WMDs, just pure skill to despatch pilots!

As for trigger happy - well, that's you off the BA Christmas card list!!

Is this the first reference to Christmas?

We don't, as such but we do have a "Winter" festival, but since my planet is always cold (hence the scarf) it seems like winter all the time.

I just mentioned Christmas because you lot seem to celebrate it and you would not understand the BA version. Bossk has trouble doing that and Oasis has not had enough "summers" to appreciate it!
