ENBSeries Mod?

Anyone ever had a chance to try this out with EL? They are custom direct3d dlls that add hdr, bloom, and other effects to games. They were originally designed for GTA, but they can supposedly be used on any dx8 or dx9 game...

I couldn't seem to get it to work for me, but maybe I'm missing something...

Does EL use dx8 or dx9 btw?

I do not think you can use custom direct3d dlls with EL. The only things you can modify or customize in EL is what is in the customization kit that you can download...;)

From what I understand, the ENBSeries dlls simply have priority over the default d3d9.dll and d3d8.dll files in the windows/system32 folder. So they don't actually mod the game directly, they just add post-processing filters to the directx output...;)

That is what I meant to say. The game somehow has to have a dll reference be it generic or customized to recognize the directx customized output....;)

Ah, I see. So you're thinking that EL doesn't reference the d3d9.dll, so a customized dll would have no effect? Are all of EL's directx information internally stored then? In that case it definitely wouldn't work...

Yes, that is what I'm thinking, but the only person who can confrim that is Vice....;)
