Hey everyone. Question is mostly directed to Vice, but some of you all might know the answer. I have the logitech G940 i'm using for my joystick in this game. Working great, except for one part. I'm using the analog hat on the joystick part of the setup for horizontal and vertical thrust. It works fine, except there is a slight downwards drift. I tried recalibrating and reassigning (to the same analog hat) but with no improvement. In the testing screen on evochron, it shows that it's set a bit off center.
So my question is, is there any way to say that it's current position is the center? I might try to slightly recalibrate the "center" offset a bit through the driver software, but if possible I'd like to reset the center in game.
Oh yeah, and a plug because it's bugging me. Vice, if you read this, have you looked into 3D yet (if you remember my previous thread on the topic...) Because going back to 2D after playing so many 3d games is such a bummer.
Thanks!

You can adjust the deadzone response from within the game (a setting of 1 or 2 might work). Otherwise, centering it using the driver configuration options would likely be best, since that would help center it for any other games you may play as well.
As far as 3D goes, I'm not quite sure what I'd need to do as the software developer. The graphics engine is what it is (pretty simple, no post processing effects that might interfere with some kind of stereoscopic display output). I'd suspect that for such a system to work, it would need implementation for any proprietary 3D technology from the developer of that product.

Vice- That's what I figured. Just thought I would check. I was able to adjust my device calibration enough to make it work ok. It still stick's here and there. The deadzone, while it might work, unfortunately limits the otherwise precise parts of the joystick. I think i'll just have to deal with it and do my best.
Eclipse- I have NVidia 3d Vision with an Nvidia graphics card (GTX 275). The 3d vision software seems fairly picky, I can't seem to get the game to load if I have the 3d on. Have you had any luck with it?
Edit: Forgot to mention, thanks to both of you for responding.

Although I doubt it would help much, have you tried an FS screen mode? If not, it does change how the game is rendered. Just select one of the 'Locked (FS)' screen modes, exit the game, then activate the 3D as needed, then relaunch the game to test. If it still won't work, it may just be the lack of native support in their software.I have NVidia 3d Vision with an Nvidia graphics card (GTX 275). Hi bluesilver30, I do not think I've welcomed you either. So welcome to the game and forum. Hope to see you out there some time.....And by the way I use Track IR to give me the feeling a little bit of 3D immersion.....I know what you mean by going back to 2D being a bummer I now hardly play any game that does not support Track IR......

Vice- I tried FS mode, and the 3d vision software does try to start up then. But, the game immediately crashed to desktop. Hmmmm
Maarschalk- I also use track IR. Pretty neat stuff. Using both track IR and 3d vision on flight simulator is a blast.
