Question

Okay so im new to the game and was wondering if flying a capital ship (Cruisers or Large Battleships) were avaliable in the game.

Sorry Kudach, the answer is no. You can however end up with a pretty large civvie ship, but no capitol ships.
The emphasis is on trade & exploration in this game so all ships reflect that. As you progress, it is possible to buy a single seat military ship if you prefer, but no Battleships.

You can hire a fleet though in Single Player. And you can mod your own ship and make it your capital ship....

For that, I suggest you mod the Leviathan. Its performance is closest to a capital ship.
