Frustrated by secrets.

im so frustrated. there are too many secrets in this game.
docking at cloaked station, jumping thru blackholes and wormholes, landind on wolf or earth, i cant find any usefull info or hints anywhere. and strategy guide is no help.

i know finding the answer is part of the game but i have spent many hours to no avail. and no clue what to try.
I've really enjoyed the game until now. any other guides out there?

If you don't mind the spoilers and the reduction of challenge/gameplay (and you don't want to use the specifics in the strategy guide), the best guides to the game are other players. Find one who has a high ranking, they likely know many of the best secrets in the game and will often be willing to share that information with you.

LOL....Many of us have spend many months discovering the secrets. Some the hardway and some with the help of others and some using a particular file to look up the information, specialy those who are using the customizing kit to create their own Universe and saving the original for on line play because you can not use the modified Universe for online play unless you host a Game and share your Universe with other players to join your game. The information for this you can find in the customizing kit that you can download...that is if you are realy realy realy totaly frustrated...LOL...

i dont mind searching for places, objects, stations etc. and i dont use the universedat file but when i find something theres no info on what to do.

What you need to do generally falls into one of these categories:

1 - Recover it (tractor beam + cargo bay).
2 - Transport it to a nearby location.
3 - Search inside (then route to #1).
4 - Take it and sell it somewhere else.
5 - Use it (often to get somewhere).
6 - Build something from it.
7 - Dock with it.
8 - Free it.

Or ask about it ... here, at the forum. Just label your post as a "spoiler alert" and check back in a few hours. There are plenty of show-offs here who are more than happy to ... show off (post, for all to see, answers to the innermost secrets of EL).

I should know ... I do it all the time (thanks, mostly, to following Denny around in MP and finding places and things I never would've found on my own).

it seems the 2 blackholes i tried have no wormhole, I found one with a wormhole and made it on the third try. now i know what to look for (feel a little stupid now lol)

im still curious about a strange looking station in wolf zone

LOL...the 3rd try....it took me at least 10 times my first attempts..but I think some are harder than others depending on the location of the wormhole in relation to the blackhole or it could be that I keep messing up my math calculations LOL...

I think that one is in a Nebulae and is a virtual image of the actual station reflected of of the particles of the nebulae....

Design philosophy of the game (EL-ER) is not based only single player mode. For this reason, it is so normal that there are many secret things in the game like ship wrecks (I still never found it one of them and noone told to me yet since 2 years, bang!), secret locations and systems, secret items etc... If you can do, join MP. You can play the game like in single player mode and you can do missions with other pilots. Share secrets, search things. Both EL and ER have this unique feature.
