... and back again.

Whenever your reputation changes from Fair to Good, it re-sets the percentages for the various factions. The good guys no longer register at or near 100% and the bad guys no longer register in the red.

I assume that, if you then start attacking otherwise bad guys (i.e. yellow or green Guild pilots), eventually you'll revert back to Fair.

So my question is: If, before the change from Fair to Good, you had all the good guys showing 100% and you then revert back to Fair ... will the good guys be showing as 100% again or will your Fair reputation re-set and start from scratch?

Edit: I also notice that your reputation with the Navy doesn't seem to increase if you're reputation is Good ... no matter how many Navy contracts you complete. But it does increase if, on your own, you go hunt down and kill green or yellow Guild guys.

Edit 2: Okay, I've been studying the Strategy Guide. The Global Levels chart shows what looks like a transition from 100% (green) to 0% (red) when going from Fair to Good and from 0% back to 100% when going from Good to Fair. That makes sense ... but I still get nervous (and sad) shooting at friendly rebels just to increase my reputation with the navy.

:o Yet, I see no other option even though the Actions and Results chart shows an increase for the Navy whenever doing an Item Locate and Recovery contract. Probably more than one. But I was doing five, six, maybe more of them and the 75% reputation never changed.

There is a difference in Multiplayer versus Single player of line. In Multiplayer you have to do a lot of locate and recovery contracts for navy reputation to increase I think somewhere between 10 to 20 if not more to increase just 1 %..... In ofline play reputation changes seem to happen much quicker...;)

 Ahhh ... my mistake. Even after all those edits, I fogot to mention that I was talking about the single-player game. I'll spend some time today doing "locate and recovery" missions for the navy and see how long it takes to increase my percentage (without killing any friendly rebels or guilders). But, first ... I upgrade to the latest test release!

Nothing wrong with that and in single player of line you can make a lot of dough getting paid bribes, make sure you accept the bribe before destroying them thou.....LOL.......:P:P:P:P:P:P
