Multiplayer profiles?

I was messing with the dedicated server earlier and can't figure out how to use multiplayer profiles. Whenever I select 'exclude SP profiles', when I try to connect with the client it says it requires a multiplayer profile. How do I make a multiplayer profile? I tried creating a new blank profile and that didn't work. I'm just trying to see if I can get the server to not use sp profiles...

If all works the way it should a new profile should work as an "MP ONLY" profile. If you go into "SP" with it then it is no longer a "MP ONLY" but yes a blank one should work.

Thanks. It seems to have been an issue with ports. Just giving a misleading error message...
