Logitech 3D Extreme Help

Does anyone know how to get the throttle control to work?
Same with the twist feature on the Logitech 3D Extreme joystick?
Both features worked perfectly on my F22 Raptor but I can't figure it out on my Avenger.

The configs I use, on Logitech 3d Extreme Pro are: 1 - 2 - 4 - 3 - the last being the throttle control.

Awesome stick, after heavy usage, my rapid fire button has some damage but still tries to work itself :)

Is my joystick malfunctioning then?

I have the exact same joystick.

However, I've opted for

1-2-nil-3

When I push the joystick forward, both axis 4 and 7 also move a bit, causing me to roll slightly and pitch rather than just pitch up and down. Twisting the joystick activates both 4 and 7 all the way (depending on how much I twist). I use the hat as a strafe.

I got this as a refurb joystick for $10, so I am curious to know.

I had this problem with mine! You have to mess with the deadspace a bit, I forget what I did. I think I moved it to the left or somesuch. Just play with it for a bit.

It does not seem to be malfunctioning. At least, no according to the Logitech diagnostics. The game appears to be very sensitive to the slightest movements in the twisting, even at low sensitivity.

I am not certain that this is a deadzone or sensitivity problem.

What are your settings?

To reiterate: my settings are 1-2-4-3 with sensitity set at 2.

It might help to recalibrate the stick. The Logitec install disables the microsoft joystick calibration. To get it back, go to control panel, game controllers, bring up your 3D Pro, hold down Ctrl and Shift, and left click on properties - I find that I have to do it twice to get the calibration to actully work.
