Stuck in dead space, jump stays in quadrant

Went into empty space to explore, ship is now stuck in this square. Jumping just keeps ship in same square. When enemy ships appear they fire but do no damage. About out of fuel at this point from jumping in same direction. Suggestions outside of starting new pilot.

what are your co ordinates? you could be near to 'known space' and yet not know it.

Go online ( recommended: babylon5 server ) there is usually someone who will help out

As a last resort email your profile to Vice he can help if all else fails.

As Verbs says, go online, one of the other pilots will probably fly out to give you more fuel and give you directions to get back to normal space.
