Saving: Am I doing something wrong, or is it unreliable?

Hey all! I'm having problems with saves. I recently entered Olympus for this first time to try my hand at combat and what I do is save just after accepting the contract to give myself a few times to try it out.

The problem I'm facing is whenever I die (which has been every time I've tried combat) and I ask to reload last save, it just brings me back to the Sapphire gate when I first entered Olympus. Is there only certain times I can save?

Yes, saving during contract or mission is not allowed. You have to save before accepting contract or mission.

Oh yes, also remember to save after each succesful contract or mission completed. Actualy this is more important. LOL

Thanks bears, you guys will be hearing more from me. Extremely impressed by this game, Vice is a genius in my mind (how many physics books have you studied?!)

Anyways, I'll have more noob questions for you all so I'm going to go ahead and make a thread to put all mine in to rather than creating new threads over and over
