Hi all,
Just wondering how many players still play the Renegades. When I try to get a list of servers nothing comes up. I have 2 friends who purchased it. One because Legends won't play on his computer (not powerful enough system). It's a fun game and the way you can configure the ships is genius. I a couple of questions though.
1. Can you form a clan in Renegades and if so how??
We tried putting call signs in front of our pilot names in parenthesis. The call sign was (Misfits) then our respective pilot names. That didn't do it though. We were hoping we'd show up as green to each other in the game.
2. Near Rivoch there is starport 3 with an asteroid field next to it and the starport and asteroids aren't there. They just don't show up. Anyone know why??

Go into your sw3dg file, then open your Evochron Renegades file, then scroll down to your pilot0 file open it, then use the bracket keys [ ] in front of your callsign...[MF]Mcduke.....Type your clan name with abbreviated letters....MF for Misfits. Have your friends do the same and you will be all be green on radar....Have Fun

I definitely plan on getting Legends next (my 2 friends also). This is such an awesome game. My understanding is that one guy started all this out of his love of the genre! Is that true!
Still have the 2nd question about the missing space station and asteroid field near Rivoch (the station is starport 3). When I jump there I can't find anything around that area.

that's the file use notepad to open it....as far as the missing station? not sure on that one as it was there the last time I played it and that was a long time ago. Maybe Vice can help with that one.

When you save the file make sure to change the "save as" to "ALL FILES" or it may save it as a text file. If you did it right it may ask if you want to replace one with the other.

It's there, it's just above you. Remember, in 3D space, objects can be above or below you. What you'll need to do is flip the map with the 'Rear View' option on the right side of the nav map. You'll see that Starport 3 is above your current position on SY. So you need to travel up one sector so you are at +1 SY. Once you are level with the station, you can zoom in closer or plot a more precise jump point to it. You can also plot a less precise jump point while you are an entire sector or more above or below it.
