Hidden Containers

I have several questions concerning the search for hidden containers:

1) Does the container look like any other container?

2) Could someone simplify usage of the compass? It's it really weird increments.

3) I get a direction from the science ops guy, what does the navigator contribute?

Bonus Question!: I found this big pyramid/beacon looking thing on Sapphire. What was that? (I'll get a picture if necessary)

1. all containers look the same
2. Nope can't help you there...
3. The navigator asists in navigation.
ie, the navigator will help you plot jumps so you don't jump into a planet or sun.
4. The big beacon thing you found is part of the beacon quest that will take you to Sol.

The compass is a 512x512 jpeg image ... download a cockpit mod or two, open the "hud" folder, open the "compass" file, make whatever changes make sense to you, and save it.

Hi skooter0104, a compass can be divided into 4 main points.

0 can be called north as you look at it.
90 can be east or your right side.
180 can be south or your (lol) behind.
270 can be west or your left side.
