V1.128 - Help in MP
Help - In playing MP and doing contracts - All the players (War Zones) are not getting credit for the contracts when all reds are destroyed in the area(s) we are in. I think its is me! My version states: V1.128. Is this right? Hate to think I am the cause of all the problems.

What is the objective? Not all missions require the destruction of 'all reds'. Also, if you terminate the contract before it's finished, credit and payment won't be given. Two possible and more likely scenarios.

V1.128 - Help in MP
I have been there numerous times when this has happened over the course of the last few nights. It seems to be on simple reinforce during a conflict missions. Multiple waypoints seem to be the worst, but even single waypoint missions have been a problem. That is, the mission doesn't clear even when the reds are dead (in a simple kill the reds mission) and everyone (human) lived through it. Occasionally a stray red will appear a few minutes latter and we can kill it to clear the mission, but not always. Last night i was on with Troop, Xanadu, Star Platinum, and occasionaly others,a nd we can all attest to this happening. These same missions on SP pose no problems and work as intended.

So in short, you're running out of reds to be sufficient enough to complete the mission (or waypoint)?
A situation like you describe where you might have less than perfect intel for the number of hostiles at a particular location can happen (in multiplayer) and may require a hunt to locate the remaining hostile (ie probes, patrol routes, etc). However, at most, that should only ever be one remaining ship and in very rare occasions two.

I has a multi-waypoint mission fail in SP while I was still in the middle of the contract, 3rd waypoint of 5. As I was intact I cannot see a reason for this.

The only way this could happen is that the combat 3rd way point was at the edge of a sector and you drifted on inertia out of the combat sector. Missions fail if you leave the missions sector. Happened to me several times doing 4k on inertia. ROFL:P:P:P:P:POriginally posted by cheops

I had in one mission with Troop101 a Single Waypoint mission. It didn't fail or completed after we mopped up every red in the area, even waited a few minutes afterwards. Then Troop101 quit to look for information on his version, I stayed and the contract is still active. 4 vonari reds appeared consecutively and I took care of them but my contract still not completed.
I'm pretty sure that contract was for less than 10 reds and we had at least killed 6 reds not counting my later 4 reds.

It might have been an escort mission. The mission only completes in this case when the capital ship to be escorted reaches it destination regardless of how many of the estimated Vonari got destroyed! The ship to be escorted flies sometimes very slow and it takes a long time for it to reach its destination! You just have to stay with the escort and protect it till it reaches its destination!;)Originally posted by prastagus

Yes, new players need to be aware that not all missions in war zones involve destroying all hostiles. When such events are reviewed/tested, it often turns out the objective was not a strike or patrol mission. Remember that there are also escort and spy objectives in war zones (which are very reliable for intel and objective completion, compared to general attack and patrol missions, which have a margin of error). The number of hostiles listed is an estimate of how many enemy ships you will likely encounter during the mission, not how many you need to destroy to complete the objective. Be sure to read the mission descriptions carefully.

Thanks Vice - Will watch the missions in war zones a lot more close from now on.
Also, I got the v1.128 (had v1.098) when I went to play MP, I was instructed to "download update now" where I was directed to the website and downloaded Link 1. Now when I start, I have on the screen v1.128.
Will try MP the next few nights and see what happens.

Hello!
This evening (my Italian evening!), version 1.128 is required to join in MP.
Now I'm downloading from Starwraith link but it is very slow.
I must report that the other links (gamershell, gamezone ecc.) have not 1.128 but still 1.108!
Now download finished but.... only 1.492 Kb......
something has gone wrong!

Hi Lollo1572, I had to down load 1.128 twice as the first time it went so fast I knew something was wrong. The second download took a normal amount of time and worked.

That's actually how the clickable button is supposed to look. Clickable options in the game generally follow a leading 'click to access' route. That is, what you see displayed there is what you will access by clicking on it. So it works like this:I just noticed this ... running v1.128: the label for the "Statistics" window on the Pilot Profiles page is out of sync with the data displayed.
The Stats/Location data has a "Weapons" label.
The Weapons data has an "Equipment" label.
The Equipment data has a "Stats/Location" label.
Stats/Location -> View Stats/Location
Weapons -> View weapons
Equipment -> View Equipment
So the button is supposed to indicate the next available option. That's also why you have to click on 'Rear View' in the nav map to get to the rear view and you have to click on 'Top View' to get back to the top view.
