Top view torture

well, i'm still waiting on the key to unlock the game but during my wait i've discovered a new error... everytime i start the game i'm in top view and cannot change it....any suggestions?

have you tried pressing the v button a few times?

Try recalibrating your joystick, might be that.

Turn off the HAT in the options menu and/or switch control modes if your joystick is unplugged or not working correctly.

tried the "v" button...no result, tried recalibrating that didn't work either.... i can switch modes ok but i'm locked into top view mode... I cant switch views using v for no more than .1 of a second. I still have yet to get the serials to btw.

Check your key bindings, restore the defaults if needed. If it still happens (including after you've tried switching control modes to 'Keyboard' and 'Mouse'), then either your keyboard is broken and is returning a 'Home' key input constantly, or some other input device is returning a constant signal resulting in the 'Above View' mode. It's not a toggling control, so something is sending a constant signal to the game.

turns out it is the joystick...when i unplug it and switch the controls it places me back in the cockpit..but as soon as i plug it in it brings me back to top view.... odd....any suggestions?

I have to ask what brand, what model stick?

Sounds like the HAT device does not work on that stick for some reason or it has a button that is bound to the 'Above View' mode. Turn off the HAT in the Options menu and check the 'Configure Controls' > 'Click here to configure keyboard and button controls' menu > Page 1 > 'Above View:' and see if a button is assigned there on Device 0. If it is, clear that button assignment by click on the 'Above View' label, then click on 'Clear assigned button'.
