Max S or E

I don't know if this has been brought up or not before but I had a quick search and didn't see it.

Would it be possible to get a alt+[ and alt+] to max energy or shields instead of having to cycle through to get there?

I actually would not like that, the time it takes to switch power from one to the other adds to the tactical aspect, otherwise we can pretty much just drop the entire Shield/Energy system.

That might help, but it would take again even further from the 'player plays' philosophy. I mean, the time it takes you to get to the required level can't be used to do something else, like fire or evasive manoeuvres. With an automatic system, this would be possible.

Sorry guys I didn't mean to take anything away from the experience I just meant more in the fact that I often swap from 5 one way or the other. Primarily in conjunction with the stealth. Because for me I have found the stealth generator to be more usable "long term" when you have 5 focused towards shields because your shield energy is the primary factor whether you can or cannot engage stealth vs your energy being a variable that just controls the amount of time you can remain in it.

Though that being said... I really don't see why changing the amount of focus you have one way or another SHOULD need to take time. Perhaps you can explain it to me...

As far as taking all energy off the shields... I find that to be rather redundant in terms of time. If you have your shields set to full focus there's a good chance you aren't actively shooting your weapons and are more likely trying to stay alive. Whereas if you are actively shooting your weapons you will probably have the full focus on energy or at best... be equalized. I personally don't see a lot of point even having several levels inbetween one or the other because me personally I have 3 settings I use. Full energy. Full Shield or Equal. I don't really use the +2 or -3 etc. Maybe you guys are different... but somehow I doubt it lol.

I add or subtract energy as needed to stay alive ... kind'a like eating one cookie at a time until you've had your fill.
