Not sure if this should be here or NS Flight logs, but, today I took my 4 year old son out in my ship for a fly around DS9. Thankfully, he did not hit the station, as far as I know, but he did fire off all 99 CM's just for fun and "they look pretty" and destroy my ship in the process of trying to land on Sapphire!:D

Thanks to the rescue staff of DS9. Donâ€™t know what I am going to tell the insurance company.

Local Police Report:
Allowed 4 year old son behind the stick of a very expensive freighter. The flight included, among other things, Firing upon local Energy company ships, attacking Sapphire Navy cruisers, to which the Navy will be applying for a separate claim to repair the damage and have issued a permanent mark on the pilots record, and an attempted landing on Sapphire. Proper approach speeds protocols were not followed. As a result, the ship was critically damaged on entry to the atmosphere and subsequently destroyed. The crew compartment was recovered by the DS9 SAR crew a few hours later. Sensor records of incidents are attached.

4-year old damages superfreighter

SAPPHIRE - A local pilot caused mayhem in the protected flight zone nearby Sapphire Station yesterday-evening Sapphirian time. In a twenty minute rampage, the pilot caused unassessed amounts of damage to several ships aligned to the Energy suppliers in Sapphire.

The pilot then continued to attack a Sapphirian Navy freighter, disrupting the shield for several moments. The freighter issued several warnings, after which the ship abandoned its attack.

Surprisingly, the ship then took a straight course towards the Sapphirian planet shooting into the atmosphere, issuing Navy personnel to scramble the AA-equipment at ground level. Several interceptors were dispatched from the Sapphirian capital colony, but where returned after the ship burned up in the atmosphere after not following approach protocols.

Sapphirian rescue personnel then retrieved the escape pod of the ship and where surprised to unlatch the seal and find a unconsious pilot and a laughing 4 year old child.

One of flabbergasted rescue crew members told SNN reporters: "We're not certain which of the two was flying, but if it was the child he's going to grow up to be quite a pilot."

Spacecraft instructors recommend parents to train children with home simulations instead of actual flight, and to not allow children to access weapon and secundary weapon controls unless sufficiently trained by autorized SCIB personnel.

The Sapphirian Navy was not available for comment.

I know, I am sorry. It was iresponsable of me to allow him behind the stick. But you goto admit, he done well! My thanks to all involved in the rescue effort. My son says "sorry"

Darn !! I thought I was improving but after burning up on my last approach it seems I have reached the piloting skill level of a 4 year old.

It seems we have a lot of 4 year olds joining the game now! We need some kindergarden Pilot trainers! Any Volunteers? Maybe a new contract or mission teaching kindergardeners how to fly a Predator!LOL:P:P:P:P:P

Why does every pilot's son have to practice over at DS9 and tear the place up?:D
Shooting at solar arrays, blasting the station and raking the sides of civillian transports with fire!
We're still cleaning up over here and assessing the damage!
This is going to cost some parent a lot of credits!:P;)
