Throttle doesn\'t work

Hi, I'm still playing the demo and deciding if I should buy it, and for some reason, with 50 minutes left, I can't increase and decrease speed any more. I'm moving, I can use the afterburner and jump, and the directional jets are working. Moving the mouse wheel doesn't work, W and S doesn't work, the 1-0 doesn't work, I've checked that I haven't reconfigured the keys (and reverted to default just in case), but I just can't get it to work. If this is a common problem I probably don't want to buy it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Deeg, Welcome to the Game and Forum, I never heard or read about this problem. Do you have other controllers like joystick connected to the system? Also check your keyboard locks Capslock, NumLock, FuncLock, ScrollLock! Also in the Games Options Menu of Controllers check that you have Keyboard/Mouse selected as controllers! other than that this is something for Vice to look into!;)

Hi, thanks for replying. It actually just went away, I restarted my computer and now it works and I bought it. Don't know what the problem was, but if it happens again I'll check the keybord locks. Thanks for your help

Thanks! I'll mess around in singleplayer for a while and get the hang of things. Oh, there is one thing I haven't been able to figure out. Can you send messages to other ships like in Privateer, where you can taunt them or make friends? I keep hearing ships talking to each other over the radio but I can't seem to say anything.

When this happens, it's usually a result of the player accidently pressing the M key at some point. M will lock your speed to your target, disabling manual throttle control.

Yep, done that! And shouted very loudly with a few profanities at both the game and PC!!

Yet another "Stupid thing I have done and shoudn't have" for the list!!

Yeah, now that I think about it I probably pressed M. Thanks for the tip! I like this game more and more, just ordered a 12-button joystick to get the full experience
