New Server

Hello guys im trying my hand at a new server. figured I learn as much as possible. My current prob is a server time out when I try to log in. any ideas

Have server 1.088
All suggestion welcome

Is your latest Universedata.txt file in the sw3d/Legends folder? if not move it from the download folder Evochron Legends to this folder! and try again! also check your connection speed and strength!

well I did download lates update whether it has the correct Universedata.txt not sure what should I look for while checking?

Check to make sure the needed ports have been opened/forwarded through any router or firewall you may have blocking your connection.

also, uninstall the server and delete the folder it was installed in and then reinstall it. This helped that problem for me.

couple of rules when playing on your own server...

1. you must play on a different machine
2. use the internal ip address to connect

oK gonna try all these suggestions today after work. I am using 2 different machines a quad core to play a dual core for server.
Gonna set up a P4 system a little later for a 24 hour machine, want to work out bugs so to speak:) Thanks for the help let ya know how turns out tonight.
