Ha Ha Ha, Hello Traveller, welcome to the forum and the Sim. Hope to see you in Multi Player some time.
I hope you will.... to be honest what tipped the balance for me was the fact that you can take your game offline whenever you wish to and not lose out.
Well that and the fact that it's a space sim (which I love), it's very good value (always a bonus), and I saw how helpful you guys are.
Which makes me realise I've bought a game because of the people playing for the first time.... ain't that odd?
Now I'm just starting out by doing some mining to get some cash to get the basic upgrades on the ship and then I'll start dropping into places to see what there is.
Of course THEN I'll have the decision: fight or trade?
Or will I?
If I'm right, the game allows you to store different ships? that way I could have one ship for each type of style I wish?

Yes, yes and Yes, First you have to make enough credits though, and then you can buy and store as many ships as you like. But storing ships is expensive as you have to pay the station a storage fee, and you have to make a note for yourself at which station you stored which ship! And in some systems you have no choice but to fight or run as a newbie!lol:P:P:P

Fight first, and once you've destroyed every living thing in the system, you can trade...
Kill everybody, then save, self destruct and reload your save and anybody in the sector will more likely be friendly.
Has anybody amassed a large fleet and taken over a system in SP yet? I've been meaning to try that...
I tried that. but the AI can not keep up with the Mantis jumpdrive. So you hire all the ships around you, pay alot of credits and you make one jump and your broke!lol:P:P:P
