Server Pilot listings

Don't know if it's just my computer but when I query the three servers shown no pilots show up but there are people on-line if you join the server such as the SW main one. cheers

I noticed this last night, thought it was a quiet evening, and then there was quite a number of pilots online.

Funny that, I was just about to write the same thing - on all three available servers. I thought I was going to be on my own - but there were loads on SW - the most I have ever seen!

I'm wondering if some of them became overloaded. Two of the servers still seem to be running the old server build and have not yet updated, so they could potentially become overloaded enough to not return player ID data when polled. I've tried to contact the operators for updating, but it still seems they are running the old build. For now, I'd rather leave them listed so some players can use them, rather than delist them so no one can use them.

Interesting, server polling may not be working currently. I will be checking into it. For now, getting into the game may be needed to check the player list in some situations.

on this subject, you can see who is flying on the verbsleagues server here -> www.verbsleagues.co.uk/dynamic

This feature ( and the code to generate it, which is also used for stats reporting) is available to other server operators if they wish to use it. Its not fullproof, but generally works quite well

Ok, server polling has been restored (thanks Verb for helping test). Notices have been sent to server operators so once they've updated, player lists will be available again with the right click option. Verb's server is currently using the new build.

Just got bumped from Verb's as not same files but worked ok on SW main.

Yup, you have to use the launcher and custom universe file to join Verb's.

Yep, same here, was on the SW server for a couple of hours, no list in the query even though it was populated. Not a huge issue, had a blast with the others and made some decent cash in the process!
