I found something called a "platinum probe." I've figured out where to put it on my ship and how to deploy it. But I've not figured out what it actually does. I see a timer count down on my screen, and I can see a circle around me in the nav box, but after the countdown finishes, nothing happens. And I'm deploying it where I already know there is platinum, so seems to me that something should display or happen.
Don't know if it would be a spoiler to write it here in open forums, but could someone please U2U me and tell me how this works... what it does exactly?
