Im in a asteroid field and I see something interesting in the distance:
I check my nav map to see if its showing there.. but I cant tell which way Im facing:
Does the 0 in my view mean North?
Is this the only way to read my heading or are there other cues on the radar or map Im missing?
Is there a chance the green ship icon can be put on top of the others?
Thanks

Hmm.. this is the strange thing I found:
(thats my ship right next to it so you get a sense of scale)
Any ideas? It does not do anything or identify itself in any way.. and its not a new-fangled jump-gate (unless it needs a key I have not found yet)

it can be a bit tricky sometimes on the nav map, though generally you can get a good idea of your facing.
you assumption about 0 being north is correct, therefore
90 =east
180 = south
270=west
that icon wont appear on your nav map

The item you found is not on the radar, as its a energy pod. If you use the Mining/Tractor beam, you'll retrieve the energy orb. Take it to the reciever (won't show up on radar either, but looks similar) and you'll get 20 fuel units.
