Tell me about this beacon quest thing

I'm on Erato II going along the Y: -14100 with 15 elec units in 1 cargo container.. and then? I've gone all the way along the light into the dark side of the planet on both sides.. well from dark to light to dark. but nothing going on there. what am I doing wrong? I kept the F1 nav window open a lot of the time to doublecheck straight heading though, maybe that screwed it?

Also, one thing on planets-- they're still really small aren't they when you're actually down there. Compared to how big they are from space I mean.

Beacon is at 84500, -14100, 58100 on Erato II.

Hope this helps. No ideas on the second beacon, since it requires a raven frame to trigger, and I wasn't in the mood for downgrading.

I found it while scanning the horizon on the dark side while keeping my elevation around 8,000.....Kinda wish I had a search light mounted, He He

. Make sure you follow the clue from the previous beacon. Also it is a good ideal to take a screen shot of the beacon clue and paste it in Paint so you can re-read it

Edit: Wait....that's a different one I was thinking of...LOL

. The one on Erato II is real easy to spot it is a pretty big beacon.

That's not a bad idea, I was just flying around the huge asteroid in Sapphire trying to find the entrance, and I was just thinking the same thing. I wanted to light that puppy up. Is that something we could get in a future update? A search light would be great.

I exhausted my fuel supply twice finding the first beacon but in the end I did. I didn't see any loot or anything near it, is that normal?

Nope. Nothing is near it, it has been hidden well from radar coverage and usually away from other items to prevent Vonari forces following the trail.

1st one is really hard to find, i used spoiler after 90 mins searching. So after that it was really easy.
2nd one is really easy i did it in first try

Hi axisAdamWest, Welcome to the Quest, Game and Forum, You have to fly along said y axis at the proper latitude and not drift to much with your heading!, Keep searching took me forever to the first one!LOL:P
