Nxt Hostile Key
Shoudn't the Next Hostile key point to the Next closest hostile? Then the Next closest after that one, then the next closest after that one? The nearest hostile is a very good button but I haven't figured out why the next hostile key operates the way IT does. Maybe I just haven't looked at it in the right way but could someone explain? I am easy to confuse (lol)!

'Next hostile' targets the next hostile ship in 'sequence'. Each ship is given a numerical ID and the 'next' option toggles locking on to the next ship in that numercial sequence (which can often relate to the order in which the ships appear in range). The main reason it operates this way it to make sure you actually get the the 'next' ship and not the 'last' ship. If two ships are close together, their distances may switch frequently between which one is closer, so if the next function focused on only the next closest ship, you would only toggle between the two and not target the 'next' ship in the numerical sequence. This would effectively render the 'next' option to function the same as the 'closest hostile' option, making it no different. Toggling through all ships gives you the option to manually sort through the entire list of hostile ships in range, rather than getting stuck at any given pair or group. You can use the range display for easier sorting, if desired.
One of the best targeting methods though is visually clicking on a hostile ship in visual range.
