New Contracts
Have been thinking for a while now if there could be an update to the contracts that are availible. There is a wide range, from cleaning to spying and combat, but, and I have not made it to riftspace yet so I may be wrong, it appears that the bigest contract is 7 fighters + 1 cap.
As a single player, that is more than enough to keep you occupide, but in MP, with maybe 3 or more pilots in on the contract, there is not a lot of challange.
Please dont think that I am being critical of Vice, or ER, it is an amazng game with endless possabilities, but of all the aspects of the game, I think contracts are the least flexable.
Maybe a new set with multiple caps, or several waves of fighters. As I said, they are fine in SP when you are on you own, but they are just not as much of a challange in MP.
Thoughts?

They shall not grow old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.

Oh please, be critical of Evochron Renegades. Heck, the more critical you are the better. My first post here was a tirade of how Riftspace could've been improved and if you see the original Evochron game, which was the sequel to Riftspace, many of these things have been accounted for. The critics, the feedback - those are the things that improve the Starwraith 3D Games and how Vice handles the feedback is the one thing that makes SW3DG a legendary example to me.
Let me side with you on this one, I think multiple capships, more fighters and some other type of contract (maybe atmospheric?) would definitely improve the game in terms of contracts. 'Unlockables' in term of rating would be cool too.
Come to think of it, unlockables by rating does sound fun. It could apply to ships, items and contracts. But that's another discussion I might bring up later. For now, heavier assault contracts would be good!

Agreed overall IC. In fact, to such concepts I'd add new ships (hostile, friendly, some even flyable), more of them, bigger/tougher challenges, certain exclusive options at certain locations, particularly to increase challenge in MP... woops, might be leaking some info... hehe, stay tuned

Great, that hit on the head gave Vice amnesia and now he doesn't remember how to program.

Ah well, it shouldn't hurt Vice. We all know Vice is immortal, and as the great Lazarus once wrote, cannot be hit by any mortal means. It's hilarious to read through some of your old writings in the fanfic forum. Not to mention nothing should give him more of an headache than some of our ramblings.
I think even if Vice suffered from amnesia, he'd still be programming, he'd just have no clue what he's programming or why it works. It'd just work because it's him behind the computer.
And its still friendlier than shoving a Fulcrum Torpedo up his tailpipe.

I am with you.We must have many and more difficult campaign(missions, contracts) like disable cap ship, capture transports, attack and destroy, protect the ships etc...
But I also think, there must be another version of the game.New ships, new systems and new missions.May be an expansion pack coming in to the picture. But I know, our game will be great and unbeatable...

Not going to dis ER wahtsoever, but there are some good contract ideas in DarkStar. Rescue, escort, defend an area against waves of bad guys, flying through a large building/station to get stuff and then get out again etc etc. Some are really tough, and require the use of different types f ship. A Levi for instance is to big and slow for a speed test.
I am sure however Vice will know what to do. He always does. Which is why this game is gaining in popularity globally.
Vice just for interest sake, how may licences have you issued. Or, in order to hide the revenue, grahically, how popular is ER over the rest of the Evochron series? Not prying just like to promote this game.

Haha, PingBosun, really, there's no reason to be so politically correct with critique. Asteroid Cave missions would be cool.
Vice doesn't know what to do - well he does - well, basically, usually, he listens what we come up with, then takes those ideas, filters the best out and puts them in the game. His design-philosophy based on feedback is what makes this game rather popular. Of course, every now and then he really surprises us with a completely new idea.
I don't know how unique his attitude is for a game designer, but he's sure the only one I've heard of that pulls it off so well.

Rami.
Good reply, just very conscious of the tone that the "MP Chat" thread took.
Thanks

I fully understand. Believe me, I haven't seen Vice lock more than 10 threads in three years time, and angering him is nigh impossible. It takes heavy trolling or offensive language to do so.Good reply, just very conscious of the tone that the "MP Chat" thread took.
