So it is worth going inside of an asteroid and look around.

i went inside an asteroid but there wasent anything in there and I almost got lost! took me awhile to find my way out again.....LOL and i just thought that it would be a great place to mine in cause nobody could get at you all the bad guys were launching missiles at me and they were impacting on the outside of the asteroid....

If you are in the Saphire system go towards the purple dot while in the asteroid. Goodies await those that dare to explore. Oh and getting lost can be fun (lol).

Very claustrophobic though

I was always curious what's that thing inside - lost beacon? station?

Now that people mention it... why can't we mine it, and is it possible to make the AI adapt to entering it and flying in it? Would make intense gameplay.
