OK I almost feel stupid asking this question, but just started playing the game and haven't been able to find a lot of time for it. When I kill an enemy ship and cargo containers are floating in space, how can I collect them. I tried using the tractor beam, but it didn't seem to work, even when I was so close to them that I bumped into them.
Thanks for any help

Did you have an empty cargo bay or one that had the same stuff as the cargo pod you tried to get?

Keep reeling them in with your Tractor Beam (use B). You must be quite close, but you'll notice the containers will grow transparent while beaming them in.

Finally got it working. I'm not sure what I was doing wrong at first, but all is good now.
