teeny tiny suggestion

Post by Colt .45 Killer »

not really worth of its own topic but i dident see a suggestion thread, im trying to land on a plant right now and i was reminded of how those landing beacons blend in VERY nicely on some planets, perhaps this is just because im partly color blind, but would it be possible to make them not blend in when landing on planets? theyr great when landing on space stations, just a bit hard to find when on a bright and lightly coulored planet.

Btw, love that last update the text is much nicer and crisper now, cept the new missle effects dont look as good as the ones before (imo).

Unfortunately, alpha blending is part of the equation with the docking pathways. On some really bright planets, they could be more difficult to see. Couple of options. First, try replacing the default bars with custom ones that are much brighter (maybe even white). The custom kit should have a gray sample that you could brighten a lot. Another option might be to adjust the digital vibrance setting if you have an Nvidia 3D card, which might make the red and green stand out more from the background (not sure if this would work or not with your visual condition, but it can make colors easier to distinguish).

Edit: Try the attached version for the green path to see if it's easier for you to see.

Seemed to have some negative feedback about the cotton puffs before, so the streaking contrails have been on my list to add for a while.

eh the streeks arent bad just something to get used to.

one other annoying bit about this game that just got me killed upwards of 10 times would have to be the dropped cargos magical sturdyness. it really is truely annoying to be sent back in the direction you came from right into the horde of missles while the cargo (ususaly just a box of textiles) remains hovering right there almost as if it were laughing at you. although now that i think about it that might be because i always tried to make a pass at them to pick a few up, greed, gets you every darn time!:(
