Key Assignments

Post by reaper20 »

Is there a way to assign different keys to the primary and secondary weapons? What I mean is so that one does not have to cycle the weapons to choose. I have a 2-stage trigger and would like to set beam to the first stage, all to the second, etc.

Missile selection is also a little awkward in the "heat of combat" if you want to use a particular type in a hurry.

Thanks

What type of joystick do you have reaper? someone may have the same kind as you and would probably be able to help. I have a logitech attack3 joystick and have the main trigger for primary weapons and use the "N" key to cycle the beam and particle cannon, and one button for missiles, but have not had the need to cycle through my missiles....I assigned the keys using the initial set up screen for keyboard and joystick.

Good Flying :)

Not currently, selection is the only option. Best to map the selection key to a toggle switch or a button that makes it easier for you to select what you want. One option you can apply with a dual stage trigger is mapping your primary to the first stage and secondary to the second stage, dual weapon control on the fly when you get a missile lock can come in pretty handy :)
