Atmosphere Combat in MP

I'm just wondering if anyone would be interested in some planet combat in MP. This is hard compared to space combat because you cannot suddenly get a burst of speed to outrun a missile, or jump to another location to avoid death, etc.

I remember awhile ago when everyone was flying Phoenixes and Strikers because of the speed. Then the meta changed when it was discovered that proper handling of heavy ships such as Centurions and Leviathans could outlast these smaller ships damage-wise.

I never really participated in MP during the "medium craft" period but it's something I really have wanted to join in. I believe atmospheric combat would allow the smaller craft to see some more play in MP, because right now it seems that everyone is on a rush to earn that cash in order to get a Leviathan or Centurion.

Dan seems to be well-known for his powerslide, and I think atmospheric combat will be a lot more demanding than the current space combat meta we have, not to mention allowing less rich players have some fun in their smaller ships because the armor of larger ships will not pose a problem. Such settings will allow players like Dan showcase their ability to maneuver a craft.

What do you think guys? I want to see the day when Phoenixes and Strikers are flown again.
