Thanks so much for the Vulkan upgrade!! Looking forward to playing AA and hopefully EL for many many more years so this step may make it a reality.
I have downloaded from the dropbox the version 2.0888. Upon running I get this error:
"Error: Failed to render color image 99995 - image does not exist in main.agc at line 120863"
Meaning the demo - I want to run it and put in my purchase code (arvoch_alliance_seb20888.exe)
My setup:
- 32 bit AA has a lot of mods including cockpits and reshade (in case something gets copied?)
- my PC has 32gb ram and Nvidia 1080Ti
- my 32 bit AA was not bought off steam but direct from you (in case that matters, I noticed 2 steam files)
I tested AFTERWARDS adding my mods and reshade and no change to the error message.
I did initially install to the D drive so uninstalled completely and reinstalled to the C drive (note - default location)
edit - windows update driver did nothing, said 2019 was latest. Went to nvidia downloaded latest and installed it (without the experience program). Still same error.
edit2 - complete uninstall and installed to c drive again (no mods at all) still same error.

I'll be looking into the issue now and will try to have a fix available shortly. Thanks!

Ok, new update is available that should fix that error and account for any initial installation conditions that might cause it. You can download the update at the same demo link, the link in your registration e-mail, or when prompted by the older DirectX version of the game. For the demo page, you may also need to refresh the page in your browser for the updated download link.

Thanks Vice that fixed it!
2 things jumped out at me right off the bat.
Firstly love the in-cockpit warp effects.
Complete 360 degree trackir views.
Awesome!

Great, thanks for the follow up. Glad it's working for you now. On a side note related to using custom cockpits/mods, I've updated the customizing kit with new information on the new/different options available in the Vulkan version. It is available here: https://www.starwraith.com/arvochallian ... readme.htm
Overall, things are still pretty similar, but there are some differences. There may also be some additional details that need to be added/changed, but this first version of the kit should be mostly complete.

I also was getting a similar menu3.png (from memory) error on every first run of the game on the 20908 version (which caused the game to terminate) which then did not appear when running again.
I installed the 20918 and ran it and did not have this issue.
At the time of those errors I had changed settings to optimised rather than fixed screen size based on the other thread about AA not being able to be chosen (given that I no longer have any interest in using reshade) and then low AA (not even sure it needs any though and I am a fussy camper about that with xplane 11).
Planets do look better, wowsers!

Yes, the menu3.png error was indeed fixed by the 2.0918 build. It related to the check for updates, so it was limited to causing the error only once in a 24 hour timeframe. Future builds and updates should now properly prompt for updates without the error message.
Glad things are looking good and running well!
