i discovered two days ago, a system, in the Alliance zone, saying that his technology level is 51.
I saw that when you discover an object of in an uncharted system, all the objects from this system become visible
(stars, planets, asteroid fields). Personnaly, would be more fun to discover each object by myself, but no problem with it.
For station, i am not sure if it is referenced on the map in this case : i flight sometimes 2 of the planets of this system,
but didn't saw some towns below. I was thinking that there could be stations/towns, because of the thechnoligy level of this system.
PS : if the sations or town are not shown and you need to discover them, for me, it is really cool, as i like this kind of things, discover
things by myself, and it gives an objective of exploration (no problem for me to flight above a planet for 2 hours or more to see if
i can find something)
Regards
new uncharted system

Re: new uncharted system
Nav sensors will pick up what comes in range and will display those contacts on the nav console map. Some objects, such as cities, can only be detected while you are in the same sector. Others can be detected many sectors away. Still others require special scanning equipment to detect even while in the same sector.
There are hidden objects in uncharted space (sometimes requiring the scanning equipment I mentioned above). But building is reserved for player involved gameplay and expansion of a faction they are part of. In terms of built structures, things are intentionally left sparse to leave plenty of room for the player to expand on building, especially in uncharted space. This applies because of the game's post-war conditions setting as well as intended sparse colonization with a lot of unpopulated space to find.
The base technology level is by region, rather than just system. So you can have uncharted systems in a region that share a pretty high rating because of its proximity. From there, building in those location can have the benefits of such a rating for inventory and pricing.

Re: new uncharted system
ok i understand.
A small question as it is not mentionned in the documentation, and as i found some post on steam forum saying it is possible and others saying not :
* is it possible to build a station on a moon ?
(not a crucial question of course as if i good understood, there is no much moons in the game)
Thanks !

Near, but not on. Intended conditions being that planets provide the resources necessary to sustain planetary city modules while moons don't.
