Quest question

Hi,

I just started playing after the training modules and accepted a quest that has me going from Talison to Pearl. I jumped several times and barely seem to have moved when looking at the quadrant map. I'm pretty sure I'll run out of fuel before I make it to Pearl. Is there something I'm missing?

Sounds like you may have just tried to fly directly there without using a jump gate. Look for the purple jump gate icons on the nav map. Hold the mouse pointer over the purple icon when zoomed in on a sector to view the destination, then fly through the one(s) you need to arrive at the system you want to get to. Jump gates generally are lined up in the directions toward the systems they will take you to.

Also, the quadrant map shows you which systems are connected by jump gates. Plan your route accordingly.
