cant see star on uncharted planets

cant see star on uncharted planets
Idk if i'm experiencing some kind of bug, but every time I go to an uncharted planet even if the sun is only 1 sector away, I cant see the sun from the planet. Is it supposed to be like this?

Without specifics, it's not really practical to say for sure. What specific sector location are you analyzing?
In general though, no, you should be able to see a star one sector away even on uncharted worlds in the same way you see them on charted worlds (they use the same systems). As long as the SY plane and relative distance is the same.
