Gas Giants visible from a moon?

Any reason we don't get to see moons surrounding gas giants that we can travel to? Much like this screenshot from Mercenary?

Or maybe Im missing something and it does exist in Legacy too and I simply haven't seen two planets in the same sector yet...

The main reason is the scale increase in the new game. When space is expanded 1000%/10X, it puts a lot more distance between objects in space. Even though planets are also much larger, when the space between them goes from perhaps around 200K to 2000K, there's a lot more room between bigger objects. Things may get moved around at some point, but that's the primary reason there is so much more space between objects in the new game.
