[EL] How do I obtain biologics?

I have a contract to go down a planet and obtain biologics, I have managed to get down to the planet but whenever I use my beam it just gives me oxygen or platinum. How do I obtain biologics?

If it's plant biologicals, descend to the surface and locate a plant sample. Fly near to it and either hover or land next to it, then bring the tractor beam up to full strength until you have the required number of sample units onboard.
