Is it possible to change the affiliation of a SP pilot profile. Like many other players I just clicked on Alliance when starting the game.
In EM we basically all flew for the Alliance and it didn't occur to me to choose the Federation. However, I've noticed the Feds are definitely the underdogs in MP. This adds an extra challenge that suits me completely.
Unfortunately I now have the obvious problem. My SP profile is ALC and my MP profile is FDN. Other than starting a new profile and doing the early game slog again. Is there anything else that can be done or will I just have to live with it.

You can change your MP affiliation but not your SP. So I guess the real challenge will be in starting over in SP as a Federation pilot.

It might go against the grain, but I have one civvy profile for each Faction and one for a military career (I find mil contracts to be harder and so one mil career will do me
) I can play as and how I fancy at any given time time. Getting a second profile up to speed is a whole lot easier and quicker than the first one!

Yeah I thought this might be the case and I think I'll just live with it. The early game in Renegades was fun, as it was new. Then a pilot named Warsign showed me a few tricks to make cash quicker. By the time Mercenary came along, those tricks had been fixed. I found a new one myself, then a player named Dingo showed me an even better ratrun.
This has also been fixed in Legacy. So it's back to mining and doing multi waypoint missions in the warzones or doing endless retrieve and sell runs to containers.
For me the best part of the game is the building and exploring. This is actually all new again, as the minor systems have been moved around or "disappeared". So I'll just live with the split personalities of my Pilot profile and continue doing what I do best.

If you've never before had a science officer aboard your ship, now is the time to hire one. And get a deploy constructor. The Legacy universe is loaded with uncharted objects.

I always have a Science officer on civilian ships. Sometimes a navigator or engineer. Only use a weapons op when in Warzones.
I have decided to do the SP in FDN space. The Cerulean double is a reasonably good earner. Don't want billions, just a Starmaster fully kitted out and enough credits for Fuel.
Yeah and you can stop smiling too. We both knew that I'd do it.

It's a bummer if you want to do both FDN and ALC quests since you can only do quests in SP!

The next quest to be released will not require any specific affiliation.
