Questions about Local Control (territory)

Post by XenonSurf »

I will have to browse the topics more carefully, but I happened to dock at a station to find out that I can get no missions because of my current "rating" with the faction.

I'm aware that this has to do with Inventory > News > Local Control which lists a dynamic change of territory control.

I have saved my progress and left the game, when I came back, suddenly there were red hostile ships all over the place, which wasn't before. Oh man, all I can do with my little Talion is going out of the station and hit ALT-F8 to quickly escape. Nice to hear the new music track, though :)

But can you know before landing if a station has changed the faction owner?

Ok, first try, had to reload my last save...:P

I was too greedy to get all these containers flying around while hostile ships were tracking me... The game really gets hot.

Yes. Hover your cursor over the station icon on the navigation map. The current faction will be displayed.

yeah, thanks Marvin, I just realize. By using the 'easy docking' method for stations, you generally don't see your surroundings or hostile ships being there.
