Military Frames?

I'm a Lt. Commander and can only buy the Evoch? When do I get access to better ships?

Military frames can be bought on carriers which can usually be found in warzones. You don't "auto-dock" in them though, you have to enter them (heading 180 pitch 0 for a quick smooth entry) and open your menu with F3 (default key).

Yeah... I got that. I'm flying an Evoch, the 5th military frame which unlocks at Lt. Cmdr. Rank. My question was, at what rank do the rest of the frames unlock?

I can't tell you for sure because my rank is not maxed, but a frame unlocks (in displaying order) every time you get up in rank. Since there are 10 ranks and 12 frames you probably get 2 frames with the last 2 ranks or something along those lines.

I looked at all of your posts and can't find where you did. I see where you posted all of the ranks and what number you needed to hit to get said ranks, but nothing about which rank unlocks which frames.

The further down the list of ship frames, the higher the rank required. 'Though, if it's like in EM, achieving the rank of commander (IIRC) unlocks most of the remaining military ships. Personally, I never bothered keeping track ... it was more fun being surprised (hey, look, now I can buy any ship I want).

That's the answer I was looking for. They unlock at Commander. I'm Lt. Commander right now and 5 frames are unlocked. There are only 5 ranks left and 7 frames, and it didn't seem reasonable to not be able to get the Chimera until you were a fleet admiral (since generally speaking admirals do not fly ships), so it made sense that at some rank everything unlocks. Now I know it is Commander, and I have 122 rank, so I will be getting my Chimera today.
