Legacy NPC stations
I've knocked out a lot of stations (even cleared entire systems) and have not seen the AI build to replace them. Does the computer not bother to build stations on its own? Is there a setting I goofed?

Currently, all building and destruction operations are done by the player(s) (for a variety of reasons established during the course of development/testing). Although incidental module destruction may occur from time to time. This may change at some point, but for now, build/destroy events are exclusive to players.

Any chance of NPC generated stations occuring once and a while? And if it's an opposing faction, having a "station assault" contract show up?
Capital ships, fighters on both sides, epic fights?
So far the contracts in sirius are the closest I've been getting to that kind of truly epic battle feel (aka. there's a real war going on)

Do, or do not, there is no try.

Once a player removes all opposition stations, where do opposition forces come from??
It's really easy to remove a station, just takes some patience. I'm a little bummed that the AI doesn't participate more.
