I believe a Leviathan class ship is considered a "Light" frame ship while a Starmaster is a "Heavy" frame. The Leviathan however has a higher armor rating? Are there stat's that are not being shown or am I reading things wrong? They both cost about the same and seem equal other than the armor. Any ideas?

I was using the Lev, didn't use the Starmaster and the Lev felt very heavy to me.

The Leviathan and Starmaster are the heaviest Civilian frames you can get. The Leviathan has the most armour but the Starmaster either has more agility or assembly it's something along those lines, I can't recall right now. It basically comes down to personal choice. But they are both the Uber heavies of the Verse.
If I remember correctly, the ships are split along an Alliance and Federation line. The top group of ships can be considered alliance rigs, and the bottom group federation. If you start as Alliance, you get put into a Talon, if you start as Federation you get put in an Arrow. I maybe wrong, but this was definitely a thing in Mercenary.

Other than having a wider front end and less armor, the Starmaster seems to have all the same specs as the Leviathan as shown in the shipyard. There must be some hidden difference maybe?

They are a very close match overall, the Leviathan is simply the Federation equivalent of the Alliance Starmaster.

One crucial difference (aside from the armour) ... the Leviathon looks a whole lot more awesome.

Seejay has all the ships listed on his new web site and no matter which faction you choose in the beginning you can still get either the Talon or the Arrow as your start up ship without costing any $ difference. That's why I chose the Arrow, IMO it just looks sleeker and sexier.

Looks like I had my alliance federation split the wrong way, glad Vice settled it for us. Now who do I speak to about getting my Legacy back
