I've spent quite a bit of time planetside for various reasons. Once, I sat in a spot on the ground near the day/night line and waited to see the sunrise. Nothing happened. Is there any kind of planetary movement, or did I just not wait long enough? If I build a city on a planet, do I have to think about whether I want it to be a day city or a night city?
On a related note, do planets actually revolve around their stars, or are they entirely stationary?
Is there planetary movement? Day/night cycle or years?

I'm sure there is day and night and so planet do rotate but the planets don't orbit their suns.
I put a city on one side of planet and come back later it was on the other. So i guess they rotate.
For sure I know they did in the older game E Mercenary

They rotate. But, since they are bigger than the planets in EM, the period of rotation is longer. If you want to watch the sunrise, the easiest way would be to fly into the terminator, go forward until you see the sun, then back up a bit and grab a cup of coffee. Then sit back and watch. Take screen shots, if you like.
