My joystick (a Thrustmaster T-16000M) works correctly in Evonchron Mercenary. However, in Legacy, it appears to be stuck in either reverse or down thruster and the IDS Scale (pad 7 & 9) when pressed to increase (9) gives a quick blink then returns to Lvl 1. When I have made it out of the portal, the ship just falls quickly down the side of the space station. Thrusting forward has almost no effect. I also attached an old Saitek JS and tested it, but had the same response. I have tried re-downloading the game, but - no change.
The game appears to run correctly using 'Mouse Point'.
I am running an MSI GP70 2QE Leopard laptop with an i5-4210H @ 2.90 GHz with 8Gb Ram, 64 Bit Operating System and an NVIDIA 940M (2Gb) video card. I am running Windows 10 Home.
Thanks for taking a look,
Merg

Check your joystick axis bindings and unhook the one that is mapped to the IDS scale control (that is, if you don't want to use an axis control for IDS scaling). Also check for the axis mapped to vertical thruster control and make sure it is either centered or unbind it if you don't want to use an axis control for that function.

Yes to what Vice said.
I have an X52 and didn't realize that one of my rotary dials on the X52 that I thought I wasn't using was set to the vertical strafe command. When trying to do the docking tutorial, I couldn't figure out why I kept moving away from the station at full engines. Once I centered the rotary dials on my X52, my issue went away. I also went into the options in El, and "unmapped" the vertical strafe from any of my axis. Felt like an idiot when Vice told me what I had donee and to center my rotary dial to solve the problem.

So this was what we call a PEBKAC error. That's an acronym for Problem Exists Between Keyboard And Chair:P
