How Many Quest Lines are There?

Other than the 4 quest lines (2 for each faction) that are available from the start of the game... are there others?

Or are we waiting for our more industrious community members to make some new ones?

I would like to know this as well.

I thought I saw 3 for each faction, but I was a little confused by them. There's the main quests "Beginning of a Legend" or something like that, then there were two others, both called "The Transporter" or something like that. I'll need to launch the game to be more specific. I'll get back to you on that.

There is a Beginning quest and a Transporter quest for each of the two factions. The Transporter quests have branching ... which is difficult to script. And even more difficult to Murphy-test. Eventually there might be others but I wouldn't be looking for them any time soon. So, if you've completed both quests for your faction and are looking to more quest action, I suggest you swap sides and try the other two quests.

That's cool. I was wondering for Youtube planning purposes. :)

Do you know how long it would roughly take to complete both the Beginning quest and the Transporter quest? Even a ballpark estimate would be very helpful.

The Beginning quest is pretty much straight forward and not that difficult to complete. Length of time depends on how many required items you already have installed on your ship. Either a C5 Fulcrum or Mantis drive will also speed things up. Each Transporter quest can be played more than one way ... although all the branches will end up in the same location unless you really fail badly. New guys might find some of the combat scenarios daunting and will end up loading a previous save now and then. Ergo, depending on how often you need to spawn and/or decide to take another branch, the Transporter quest can take a day or two.
