HAT switch bindings

I am having trouble figuring out how to set 2 different HAT switches since i have 2 joysticks that i use together. I can see it goes through all my devices with options but not how i can say ok for device 1 use it for shields and device 2 set pan for example. It just works on the last thing i set it for.

Correct, only one mode can apply for an angular HAT. Depending on the device, you can likely set up a second HAT for button returns via profiling software.

Then maybe I have a bug but mine is set for shields but works as pan in 3rd person view....fine as long as shields are full but I can hear it diverting power while panning.

Also, just did the combat drone tutorial and holy shit batman the camera shake make trying to see ANYTHING while under fire impossible. I understand jarring but its like your on a high speed paint can shaker. Any way that I can tone that down some? I really wanted to try PvP in this game but that totally turned me off of combat.

The shaking decreases with larger (and heavier) ships. Also, you actually get used to aiming while being banged around like laundry in the dryer.

Ah yes, that can probably disabled for the next update.

Already reduced by 50% in the latest update (1.0128), so be sure to update to that build if you haven't already. The drones have also been spaced farther apart to give you more time to escape and set up. Just don't fly in with guns blazing at first, leaving you stuck in the middle and pounded as an easy target. Make a move to escape (directly up or down works well) and put some distance between yourself and the other targets at first, then maneuver around to try and pick them off one at a time.
