Piracy in Legacy

Post by Sinbad »

Just wanted to throw this question out there...

For those who like to take on the role of a pirate in MP, what might that look like with the new Alliance-Federation set up in Legacy?

Will we see [ALC]-tagged pilots pirating and attacking other [ALC]-tagged pilots?

 Hmmm ... well, if you think of the two factions as countries, then each side has its own collection of good and bad guys.

You can attack them. Is that against etiquette? Sure, but you're a pirate so who cares? But be prepared for retaliation. I'd stay away from the safe systems too, like Pearl and whichever one the Federation calls home. Sapphire used to be safe too but I don't know in EL.

As far as I'm concerned, anything goes depending on the server you're on. Currently there are 3 that I see. They're all run privately, meaning they're not official servers so as long as the admin says PvP is open and OK or there are no specific rules against it then I say go for it. But that's just me. Personally, if i'm attacked by a player in open space that's part of the game, no different than an NPC pirate attacking me. Just be ready for a bounty to be placed. Fun!

 Which is why it's still a good idea to fly with your buddies, even if clans aren't actually recognized by the game. ;)
