Evochron Legacy - Passengers?

Do passengers you can carry from place to place still exist in Legacy?

I've only had a few hours in and I haven't seen any, at least not where they used to be (in crew management, which I guess was a bit weird).

Does this still exist in the game and if it does has it been moved somewhere else?

Passenger running's gone for the time being. I think Vice may bring it back provided he finds a format for it that both works with the new economy and that isn't hopelessly complex/resource intensive.
