Re-mapping Zero Speed problems (E.M)

Post by Amebix »

I can't seem to find the key binding option for the backspace key in the configure key options. I noticed a thread on here with someone else having the same problem and someone said to try axis-throttle-invert or something like that, but the OP stated he was using a keyboard/mouse setup (as am I)
and I don't think the person who stated that answer read the post right.

I could be all wrong tho and somehow using that option will let you bind the backspace key into something else (like one of my mouse buttons) but I don't see how that will work.

Pretty much the problem is there is no zero speed/backspace bindings in the control options...

That's actually something I've been working on. If you want to, you can send me a quick e-mail (starwraith.com > contact) and I can send you a download link to a test build with the bindable zero throttle option in place so you can try it out before release. It was not an easy option to implement due to required changes for the configuration menu, key binding template, control input system, and linked throttle control checks. With the risk of potential problems surfacing because of these complexities, it will be in testing for a while to make sure it's solid before released.

Re-mapping Zero Speed problems (E.M)

For any who might be interested I use the older free version of xpadder and I have my Gamepad Dpad configured as 4 buttons in a + pattern. And I have the down Dpad button set to send Backspace to EM for Stop.
xpadder is reqally nice - I just wish I had a more powerful laptop than could process some of my spadder macros faster - but that's not stating the problem accurately - actually the slower laptop and and EM have the result of not processing keystrokes fast enough - especially macros - like a macro to send 3 CM keystrokes or 5 [ or ] keystrokes. I have to try to set delays in xpadder of about 1 sec or more for each keystroke for EM to process them and even then sometimes it misses one or two.
I have the same problem just pressing keys or with mouse clicks in say the Inventory or nav console.
But, xpadder is great.
