Lets say I have found a planet, landed and deployed terrain walker - how to see where to look for something interesting down there - is it marked somehow or what? Do I have to fly around whole planet to find it?

Fire you Mining beam at the ground and you may find anything - but only one type at a time - jettison what you don't what and try again til you don find what you want - if it's there - aka - gold, platinum, diamonds, metal, water, oxygen, biology (plants)

Hire a science officer... he'll tell you about any hidden containers in the sector and give you a pitch and heading direction to find it.

I assume pitch is this numbers on the side of the hud (double) and heading compass? Is this container far away? Does it show on the radar as pink spot? I tried to find somethig but there was nothing while "pitching" and "heading" in given direction...

 The standard pitch ladder is in 5-degree increments, making it difficult to set an accurate ship's attitude ... 'though there are mods at SeeJay's website which give you one-degree increments. The heading can be set more accurately by using the digital readout on the upper HUD.

:o You must be really close to the object for it to show up as a purple blip on radar ... but you can deploy a sensor station (using the Deploy Constructor) to find an object which is further away. Or you can use another one of SeeJay's tools: a spreadsheet where you plug in heading and pitch from two different jump points to get a triangulated set of coordinates.
